The playstation 2 still to this date sold more copy’s than the newer playstation 3. They sold over 150 million consoles worldwide. It was first released in japan on the 31st of January 2000. Its primary competitors were mainly microsofts new xbox console and nintendos game cube. SONY felt the pressure of online gaming when Microsoft released ‘XBOX’. But shortly after SONY released Playstation network adapter in late 2002. In September 2004 they released a new slim version of the PS2. Most playstation 2s had only 8 MB memory card. My playstation 3 has got a memory of 160 GB. Which is 20 thousand times as much as a PS2. Please enjoy my video.
